Academy was founded over twenty three years ago in a 2,600 sq. ft building. We are conveniently located in the City of Commerce, CA near downtown Los Angeles in a 26,000 sq ft state of the art facility where our industry experienced employees combine their efforts to manufacture products that meet our customers’ requirements.

The history of the awning industry indicates that most businesses were family run shops passed on from generation to generation. Academy has changed the way the awning business is done by offering a concentrated approach to the industry, working in specific markets, understanding our customer’s needs and incorporating new and old technologies which allow us to product products that fulfill the needs of the customers we service.

Our extensive use of computer technology, including software programs such as AutoCad, allows us to produce technical and aesthetic prints and drawings to aid our customers to fully appreciate what the final product will look like. With a continuing eye on detail and an extensive quality control program, we ensure that the products that leave our facility are of the highest quality.

Our participation in trade shows such as Hospitality Design Las Vegas, HD Boutique Miami, Retail Construction Expo & Western Foodservice Expo Los Angeles, help keep us in touch with specific markets as well. As active members of NEWH, ICSC, IFAI, WCPA, and Hotel and Resort organizations, we are able to network with a wide variety of industry members who help keep us abreast of trends and share their needs and requirements with various projects not only locally but nationwide with frequent participation in projects often focusing in Arizona and Nevada and include shipment of our products worldwide. Academy has no geographic limits!
